Earl Jacob Harbin a beloved father, brother, mentor and friend passed away Saturday September 18th, 2021. Earl was a biological father to Beverly Harbin Brewer, Earl Roderick Harbin and Kirk Jacob Harbin (deceased) but there were many who would rely on his wisdom and guidance through the years. We called him Dad, Daddy, Uncle Earl, Grandfather, Pappa Earl, Poppa E. and Mr. Harbin. Earl is the last of six brothers and sisters, John, Robert, Florence, Geneva, Callie and Dorothy. His parents were Mamie and Nathaniel Harbin. Earl is preceded in death by his cherished wife Mary Harbin, as well as her father Arnie Robinson, mother Modene Robinson, and brother Lenward Robinson. Her surviving sister Anne and brothers Grady, Jesse and Arnel were like biological family that he loved dearly. His is also survived by nephew Edward Stanley Bell, who was like a son to him; grandchildren Paul Brewer (Andrea), Earl R. Harbin III (Patrice), Nathan Harbin, LaShawnna Harbin, Jessica Harbin, and Payton Harbin; and great grandchildren Elaine Harbin, Eliza Harbin, Nuria Brewer, Atlas Harbin, Kierra Harbin. Earl was an avid athlete and played football and baseball in his youth and as the years progressed, he was known for his skills at golf. There were even three newspaper articles on a hole-in-ones he hit in Canton. We will all miss his warmth, and love and remember his advice, “always hold yourself responsible for your actions”. Funeral Services will be Friday, October 1st at 11:15 AM at True Church, 1841 Tremont Avenue SE, Massillon, OH 44646. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM.
