Earl J. Glick, age 86 of Massillon, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 with his family by his side. He was born on December 27, 1929 in Sugarcreek, Ohio and was the son of the late Albert and Malinda (Mullet) Glick. He graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1947. Earl was a builder, businessman and entrepreneur. He owned and operated Glick Door Company. He and his wife Thelma were members of Immanuel Fellowship Church and traveled the world extensively on mission trips. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mattie Grabill and Esther Beegle and his brothers, Owen Glick, Paul Glick and Jacob Glick. Earl is survived by his wife, Thelma L. (Hershey) Glick, with whom he would have celebrated 66 years of marriage on November 24th, his sons, Paul Glick and John (Lanette) Glick, his daughters, Karen (Scott Wiles) Tobin and Barbara Kamph, 18 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters, Dena (Avery) Sollenburger and Ruth Anna (Chester) Musser and his brothers, Daniel (Helen) Glick, Jim (Ruth) Glick and Albert (Elaine) Glick, many nieces,, nephews and other family members. Funeral services will take place on Saturday 11:00 a.m. at Stanwood Community Church with Dr. Daniel Glick and Pastor Alvin Mast officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet and Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home (1100 Wales Road NE, Massillon, OH) on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
