Earl H. Grove

Earl H. Grove, age 95, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022. He was born in Canton, Ohio on June 11, 1926 to the late Harvey and Odessa (Walkenspaw). He was a 1944 graduate of Timken High School. Earl married Zora Kragalott on August 17, 1950 and they shared almost 72 years together. Earl served his country in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II and in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Following military service Earl worked as a Truck Driver for Superior Meats until his retirement. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Teamster Local #94, Navarre VFW Post #904, the North Lawrence Fish and Game Club and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed the great outdoors, especially hunting with his sons. Earl was a devoted family man, who loved spending time with his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. Earl’s passion was good food and a few cold ones. He was a man of great humor and a good storyteller. There was always laughter when Earl was around. He is survived by his wife Zora; his children Michael (Karen) Grove, Daniel (Colleen) Grove and Melissa (Patrick) Sirpilla; his grandchildren Erin, Kaylan, Meagan, Mike, Casey, Madison, and Olivia; his great-grandchildren Mason, Penelope, Julian, Magdalena, Elliana, and William; his sister Marilyn and a host of family and friends. In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his brothers Glenn “Bud” Grove and George Grove. Services will be private. Messages of sympathy and support can be sent to www.paquelet.com.
