E. David Zickefoose

E. David Zickefoose, age 67 of Massillon, passed away Monday evening at Affinity Medical Center Massillon Campus. David was born on July 6, 1939 in Akron to the late Ellis D. and Marjorie (Bishop) Zickefoose and was a Massillon resident for 35 years. He attended Manchester High School and was a United States Army Veteran. He enjoyed bowling, camping, and target shooting and playing pool. David attended First Assembly of God in Massillon. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Carol Jean Frank; grandchildren, Justin, Stephen and Jessica Zickefoose. His memory lives on with his wife, Nellie J. (Campbell) Zickefoose with whom he would have celebrated 36 years of marriage on July 22, 2007; children, Debra Harvey, Bill Simon, Dave, Ron, Deborah, Steve Zickefoose, Mike Simon and Eric Zickefoose; sisters, Judy Kumpf, Becky Ellis, Susie Parker and Lisa Cogar; 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Memorial services celebrating David’s life will be held Thursday, March 8th, at 1:00 PM at First Assembly of God in Massillon with Rev. Kenneth Weaver officiating. Friends may call at the church from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. prior to the services. The Paquelet Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
