Dwight V. Orman, age 85 of Canal Fulton, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Altercare of Nobles Pond. He was born in Massillon on December 14, 1922 and was the son of the late Fritz and Alma Orman. Dwight was a 1940 graduate of Washington High School. He enlisted in the Air Corps in 1943 and went over seas in June of 1944. He flew 100 missions with the 65th Fighter Squadron (Fighting Cocks). He was also a member of the Ohio Air National Guard. Dwight was employed by the F.A.A. as an air traffic controller and worked at the Akron/Canton Airport retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Robinson in 1980, his son-in-law, David M. Daniel, 1 sister and 4 brothers. He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Orman-Daniel of Muscle Shoals, AL; his grandchildren, Melissa Daniel and Seth (Morgan) Daniel both of Muscle Shoals, AL; his great-grandchildren, Christian and Jackson Daniel both of Muscle Shoals, AL, and Dorothy Orman of Massillon. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon with Rev. Delaney Young officiating. Interment will follow at Newman Cemetery.
