Duane S. Ruemmele – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and Papa. He passed away on July 1, 2013 at age 86. He was born on September 13, 1926 to the late Elizabeth (Babe) and Wilfred (Bill) Ruemmele. Duane was a 1944 Graduate of Washington High School and served in the Army during World War II in the Phillipines. Duane retired from the Massillon Post Office after 32 years of service. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church for 65 years, an avid bowler, he took many awards and loved playing cards with family and friends. He always had a soft smile and a thank you to his caregivers and was loved by all of them. Many thanks to you! Duane is survived by his childhood sweetheart and devoted wife of 66 years, Janie, his children, Becky Massarelli of Massillon, Ohio and Betsy David of Navarre, Ohio, 6 grandchildren Amy Massarelli, Chad Massarelli, Melissa (Tony) Zavarelli, Jackie (Bill) Sterling, Ryan (Stephanie) David, and Darrin (Farrah) David; 9 Great Grandchildren, Dominic, Derek, Marina, Case, Cameron, Dylan, Devin, Aly and Josh. He was preceded in death by Son-in-Law, Garry Massarelli in 2004. A Funeral Service will be held at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 2 P.M., Pastor Elaina Styblo officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of the service. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
