Duane R. Weltlich

Duane R. Weltlich, age 77 of Dalton, Ohio, died Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville. He was born on July 19, 1931 in Massillon and was the son of the late George J and Amelia Ann (Schindler) Weltlich. He was a lifelong area resident. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired from LTV Steel in 1986 following 31 years of service. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother and his brother George D. Weltlich. He is survived by his wife. Janis S. (McFarren) Weltlich, his daughter Bonnie Sue (Larry) West of Dalton, his son Eric Ray (Cheryl) Weltlich of Wooster, his grandchildren, Lauren and Thaddeus West and Tristan and Katelynn Weltlich, his sister in law, Luella Weltlich of Massillon, 4 nephews and one niece. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Pastor Mike McFarren officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M.
