Duane P. Ricker, age 81 went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 25, 2017. He was born on December 20, 1935 to the late Arvine and Velma Ricker in Massillon. He was a 1954 graduate of Central Catholic High School. He married Audrey Goldner on April 13, 1957 and they shared 60 years together. Duane worked as an Operating Engineer for Boger Contracting and Stark County Engineers. He was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing, but his greatest joy was his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will forever be remembered for his sense of humor and that he was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He is survived by his wife Audrey; his children Mike (Vicki) Ricker, Todd (Kim) Ricker, Missy (John) Biehl, Dan (Marie) Ricker and Randy Ricker; his grandchildren Kala (Jeremy) Triner, Brett Biehl, Chad Ricker, Danielle (Ryan) Hickey, Cory Ricker, Kelsey Ricker, Abby Biehl, Lauren Ricker, and Kamarin Ricker; his great-grandchildren Bravin Triner, Brycin Triner, Carson Hickey and Baby Triner due in September; his sisters Gloria (John) Forgan and Wanda Berens; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Russell Ricker. A Celebration of Duane’s life will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 11a.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 6-8p.m. and 1 hour before the service. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Memory Gardens. The family would like to thank his devoted wife Audrey, who met his needs with love, kindness, patience and compassion. A special thank you to Dr. Seese, Dorie, Roxanne and Patti for Duane’s exceptional care.
