Dr. Thomas E. Lindsay, 56, of Silverlake, went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2018. He was born on August 17, 1961 in Massillon to Richard and Margaret (Gerber) Lindsay. He married Janie Campbell on May 20, 2000. They shared 18 loving years together. Tom was a graduate of Tuslaw High School. He then attended the University of Akron and Ohio University where he received his degree as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. He has been in practice for over 20 years. Aside from his medical work here, he also did a lot of mission work in places such as Haiti, Honduras, Indian Reservations as well as many other countries. Tom was a lifelong member of Newman Baptist Church in which he was very dedicated too and grew up in. He was passionate about the Lord and was also a Gideon. In his spare time, Tom loved to go kayaking, enjoyed singing and doing puzzles. He will be remembered for his caring nature and love for everyone. He will be deeply missed by his wife Janie; mother Margaret Lindsay; siblings Ann (Robert) Kiggans and David Lindsay; Uncle Floyd and Aunt Lois Lindsay; and many cousins. Tom was preceded in death by his father Richard Lindsay. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, March 5, 2018 at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with calling hours one hour prior. Burial will follow at Newman Cemetery. in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Thomas's name to, The Gideons International Processing Center P.O. Box 97251, Washington, DC 20090-7251.
