Dr. Terence J. Fleming

Dr. Terence J. Fleming, 85, formerly of Massillon, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020. Terry was born on January 6, 1935 the son of the late Virgil and Catherine (Gannon) Fleming. He was a Washington High School graduate and was a proud member of the Massillon Tiger Band. He graduated from Western Reserve University with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Terry practiced dentistry in Massillon until 1975 then moved to Houston, TX where he was on faculty as a dental oncologist at MD Anderson Cancer Center and was a Professor of Dentistry at the University of Texas Houston. During his time at MD Anderson Cancer Center he served as Associate Head of the Dental Oncology Department and was Board certified in maxillofacial prosthodontics. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Michael Fleming. He is survived by his wife Donna (Grisez) Fleming whom he shared 59 years of marriage; children, Keith (Lisa) Fleming and Erin (Kenny) Jackson; grandchildren, Karah, Isabel, Spenser, Travis, Parker, and Avery; and great grandchild, Eden.
