Douglas Gene Devers

Douglas Gene Devers, age 54 of Jackson Township, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015. Douglas was born on November 9, 1960 in Salem, the son of Mervin G. and Patricia (Feaster) Devers. He grew up in Salem and graduated from West Branch High School in 1979. Douglas obtained his Associate Degree of Nursing at Youngstown State University. He was the nursing coordinator, RN, at Affinity Medical Center where he worked for the past 7 years. Douglas enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Sativa. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia (Feaster) Devers. He is survived by his father, Mervin G. (Donna) Devers, his children, Kayleigh (fiancée Zackary Capron) Price and Nathaniel Devers; his sisters, Amy (fiancée David Miller) McGuire and Judy (David) Greier; his granddaughter, Sativa Oblisk; his nieces and nephews, Jesse (Ashley) McGuire, Jordan McGuire and Nick (Jessi) Greier, Ryan Greier; and his great niece and nephew, Charlette and Jaiden. A Celebration of Douglas's life will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home: 1100 Wales Rd. N.E., Massillon, OH. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery in Salem. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10-1 p.m. prior to the service.
