Dorothy B, Smith, 93, of Massillon, went Home to the Lord on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 with her family by her side. Dorothy was born on August 23, 1931 in Massillon, Ohio the daughter of the late John and Mary (Piatko) Bubenchik.

Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Massillon and was a Washington High School graduate. She worked at Kroger's for over 30 years as a cashier and then retired from the Heinz Company. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and Christ Lutheran Church. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone. 

She is survived by her children, Robin (Jeff) Welsch, and Scott Smith; grandchildren, Jamie (Stephanie) Cutcher, Michael (Christina Drobney) Welsch, and Chris (Shannon) Smith; great-grandchildren, Ethan Cutcher, Talan Smith, Bode Smith, and Cruz Smith; brother, Paul (Ann) Bubenchik; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 11 siblings.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 10 - 11 am at Paquelet Funeral Home. A Celebration of Dorothy's life will follow at 11 am. To share a memory of Dorothy or leave a special message for her family, please sign the online guest book.
