Dorothy Rebecca Robinson

Dorothy Rebecca Robinson, age 89 of Massillon, OH went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 3, 2011. She was born on November 3, 1921 in Carthage, North Carolina, the first born child of the Rev. John and Bessie Matthews. The Family later moved to Massillon, OH. She attended Massillon City Schools and graduated from Washington High School. Dorothy married Richard Cleavon Robinson August 1941 and they were married for 56 years. Dorothy and Cleavon relocated to Minneapolis, MN and lived there for 50 years. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Cleavon, a sister Montez Willis, and brothers – in – law Edgar Herring and James Willis. She is survived by her daughter Elaine Robinson, grandchildren, Sister Sarah Herring, brother William (Tony) Matthews of Massillon; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Morning Star United Holy Church; 1128 Walnut Rd. S.E. at 11:00 AM. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Elder Michael Clemmons Officiating.
