Dorothy Marie Barnes Elmerick

Dorothy Marie Barnes Elmerick, 100, passed away on Tuesday March 4, 2014. She was born on February 24, 1914 in Shreveport, LA to the late Roy Elmar and Angie Jolley Barnes. She had lived in Calgary, Alberta, Canada for 54 years, arriving back to North Canton in December 4, 2006, thanks to Ben & Denusia Steblecki Family of Edmondton, Alberta, Canada. She is also preceded in death by her husband Robert P. Elmerick, in 2008; brother Robert C. Barnes; a grandniece; brother-in-law John H. Elmerick; sister-in-law Lucille Schaefer. She is survived by a great grandniece; brothers and sisters-in-law Francis and Linda Elmerick, Sylvan G. Elmerick, Beatrice Jordan, Dolores Pasture, Ruth Horning and Henry and Agnes Taylor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 11:00AM at Little Flower Catholic Church, Middlebranch, Father Leo Wehrlin, Celebrant. Burial will follow at 1:45PM on Monday at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman. A special thanks to St. Luke's Lutheran Home for the Aging for their excellent care.
