Dorothy Mae Stratton

Dorothy Mae Stratton, 72, of Canton, passed away on April 24, 2018 at her home. She was born on March 13, 1946 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late William and Dorothy (Black) Bursee. She was also preceded in death by her son John Stratton in 1996. Dorothy retired from the Hoover Company after 10 years of service. Prior to working with Hoover, she worked as a home health aide which demonstrated her care and compassion she had for others. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and her love for people and animals, especially her cats; aka the “Cat Lady” Dorothy will be deeply missed by her son Edward Stratton III and her daughter Tonya Morales; and 3 grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral in Massillon. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery.
