Dorothy M. Nameth

Dorothy M. Nameth, 90, of Massillon, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. She was born on March 18, 1932 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Karmazin) Marchuk. Dorothy worked at the former Republic Steel Corporation for 32 years. Following retirement, she did secretary work for various employment agencies. Dorothy enjoyed traveling with her husband, gardening, bowling, and could be often found enjoying a good book.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Nameth, Jr., and her sister Annie Marchuk.

She is survived by her sister, Catherine Marchuk-Palko of Port Charlotte, Florida; nephews, Thomas (Kay) Palko of Medina, Ohio and David (Mindy) Palko of Grove City, Ohio; niece Diane (Bill) Lawriw of Port Charlotte, Florida; many grandnephews and nieces, great grandnephews, nieces, and cousins; Aunt Wanda Horvath of Massillon, Ohio; and special friends Nicki and Betty Pribich of Whispering Pines, North Carolina.

A Celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10- 11 a.m. prior to the service. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
