Dorothy M. Halter

Dorothy M. Halter, age 96 of Massillon, passed away Friday, March 12, 2010 at Rose Lane Health Center. Dorothy was born January 17, 1914 in Massillon to the late George & Myrtle (Carnahan) Wolf. She was a 1933 graduate of Washington High School. Dorothy retired from Kaufman’s Department Store in 1979. In addition to her parents her husband, John Halter passed away in 1958; daughter, Joanne Mitzel in 2003; sister, Marie Hamrock; two brothers, Robert & Leland Wolf. She is survived by a son, daughter in law and a son in law, Don & Marty Koehnlein and Don Mitzel all of Massillon; five grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
