Dorothy M. Bonk

Dorothy M. Bonk, age 86, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2010. She was born in Massillon on July 29, 1924 to the late Byron C. & Dora (Lewis) Wagner and was a 1943 graduate of Washington High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years John F. Bonk Jr. (1999), son John (Jack) Bonk (1971) and a brother Byron C. Wagner Jr. (1999). Dorothy loved working in her yard, doing crafts, painting and reading. Her last wishes were to thank all the people who have been there for her and spent time with her. Her final wishes were ‘God Bless you all and sometime in the future I will be with you again’. She is survived by two sons: S. Michael Bonk of Navarre and Terry A. (Nancy) Bonk of Dalton; there are five grandsons, and twelve great grandchildren. Her funeral service will be 11 AM Tuesday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon, her pastor Rev. Mark Oster will officiate. Private interment will follow. Friends may call Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
