Dorothy L Laubacher

Dorothy L. Labaucher, age 90 of Jackson Twp., passed away on April 12, 2021. She was born in Massillon on October 11, 1930 to the late Edward and Cecilia (Grosswiller) Romer. Dorothy was a 1948 graduate of Washington High School and a 1951 graduate of Mercy School of Nursing. Dorothy was a Registered Nurse and retired as the Supervising Nurse at the Same Day Surgery Center at Mercy Hospital in 1993. Dorothy enjoyed dancing, playing cards, spending time her sisters. Dorothy was a kind and thoughtful person who always put others ahead of herself. She was a lifetime parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where she served in the Rosary Altar Society. She will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Dorothy is survived by her sisters, Kathleen Santilli and Rita Kline; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husbands Eugene Wiswell and Thomas Laubacher and her sister Arline Prine. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Massillon on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 2p.m. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be held at Rose Hill Memory Gardens at a later date.
