Dorothy L. Hanson

Dorothy L. (Kiko) Hanson, age 87 of Massillon, died on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Meadow Wind Health Care Center. She was born on October 10, 1921 in Orrville, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Fred and Esther (Roshan) Kiko. She was a lifelong area resident. She had been employed as a cook at the Hospitality House. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank G. Hanson, her sons Glenn L. Fyke, William E. Fyke and an infant boy, her daughter Sharon L. Hanson, her grandson William Anthony Fyke, her brothers, Al, Urban, Bob, Fred and Carl Kiko and her sister Ruth Kelly. She is survived by her sons, Robert L. (Betty) Fyke of Oklahoma and Ronald (Sue) Hanson of Montana, her daughter, Karen (Jim) Poindexter of Massillon, 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, her daughter in law, Betty Fyke and her stepdaughter, Jeanette Moore Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. Edd Matako officiating. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday one hour before the service.
