Dorothy L. Godagidis

Dorothy L. (Elliott) Godagidis, age 86 of Perry Township, passed away at home on Monday, October 12, 2015. Dorothy was born on January 2, 1929 in Minerva, the daughter of the late Arthur and Lillian (Keister) Elliott. She was a lifelong resident of Canton. Dorothy worked for J.C. Penney as a saleswoman and retired in 1990. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and her cats. Dorothy also enjoyed baking all sorts of desserts with assistance from her grandchildren. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Godagidis in 1987, her son, Robert Brenner in 2008 and her daughter, Jan Gentile in 2014, her brother, Arthur Elliott, and her sister, Dona Morgan. She is survived by her children, Gus Godagidis, Sandy Wisenburg and Rosanne (Mark) Storch; her daughter-in-law, Sandi Wise-Brenner; her grandchildren, Justin Brenner, Zachary (Leigh) Brenner, Jessica (Drew) Aubley, Danielle (Randy) Riordan, Tony Gentile, Kelly (Kyle) Herbruck, and Kevin Storch; her great grandchildren, Payton, Caleb, Savanna, Vann, Kendra, Natalia, and baby Cadence; and her brother, Joseph Elliott. The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice of Aultman for their compassionate care given to their mother. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family suggests donations be made to Aultman Hospice in Dorothy's name.
