Dorothy J. Kertes

Dorothy Jean Kertes, 85, of Strasburg, passed away Friday, August 16, 2024.

Dorothy was born on January 24, 1939 in Carrollton, OH to the late Raymond and Mary Gallier. She spent many years operating a dairy farm as well as owning and operating coin laundromats. She especially enjoyed her time working for the Red Cross, where she helped out with the food pantry and the annual duck races. Dorothy loved playing cards, bingo, reading books, collecting teddy bears and cows, and watching the Hallmark channel. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Donna McRobie (Randie), Joe Kertes (Patty) and Dixie Marchand (Brian); grandchildren, Gabrielle, Amy, Ashley, Kodi, Mathew, Joey, Brianna, and Kamryn.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her former husband of 43 years, Eugene Kertes.

Per Dorothy’s request, cremation has taken place and no services are to be held.
