Dorothy H. Mcelhaney

Dorothy H. McElhaney age 93 of Massillon, passed away Sunday morning at Meadow Winds Health Care Center. She was born on February 9, 1914 in North Lawrence to the late Leonard and Ida (Leading) Brown. Dorothy enjoyed embroidering in her spare time. She was a member of the Massillon Baptist Temple. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. McElhaney, Sr on February 26, 1968; daughters, Helen Shue & Beverly Henry; four brother and two sisters. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Roy (Jan) McElhaney, Jr of North Carolina, Ron (Elaine) McElhaney and Donald (Karen) McElhaney both of Massillon; daughters and sons-in-law, Evelyn Sprunk of Massillon, Phyllis (Dale) Ross of Strasburg, Nancy Yost of Wooster and Debbie (Larry) McNeil of Massillon and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services celebrating Dorothy’s life will be Thursday at 10:30 AM at the Arnold – Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the services on Thursday. Interment will follow the services at Brookfield Cemetery.
