Dorothy E. Venuto, age 89, of Jackson Township passed peacefully in her home on January 4, 2021. She was born in Canton on June 9, 1931 to the late Nicholas and Mary Kulich. Dorothy was a proud graduate of Timken High School where she studied dressmaking. Dorothy married the love of her life Nick Venuto in 1951 and spent 67 wonderful years together until Nick’s passing in 2018. She enjoyed sports, especially watching her children and grandchildren. Her hobbies were garage sales, casinos, decorating her home and spending time entertaining her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters Helen and Mary Jane, and brother Bill. Dorothy leaves behind to cherish her memory her children Karen (Jeff) Noggle, Cindy (Steve) Savage, Gerri Venuto, and Nick Venuto; grandchildren Tara (Justin) Thompson, Bill (Katie) Noggle, Jason (Niki) Savage, Brett (Francesca) Savage, Edward Grimsley, Brandi-Leigh (Cody) Kolsky, Gianini Venuto; great-grandchildren Paige, Mia, Keelie, Livvy, Gunner, Elias and Aksel; siblings Anne Lenartowicz, Pat Marcelli, sister-in-law Margie Kulich and brother-in-law Sam Venuto. A Private Family Mass will be held at St. Joan of Arc at 10am on Monday, January 11, 2021, with Fr. Weikart officiating. Final resting place will be at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dorothy’s honor to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church or to Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care of Green. The family would personally like to thank Jaymee, Kirsten, Barb, Kathy, Cheryl, Lori and Ginger her most wonderful caregivers. We will be forever grateful for treating Dorothy like “their” mom. Also, a special thanks to Heather, Andrea and all the nurses of Crossroads Hospice of Green.
