Dorothy E. Patterson

Dorothy E. Patterson, age 79 of Massillon, died on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at the Hanover House in Perry Township. She was born on October 2, 1931 in Massillon and was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen Dickey. Dorothy was a 1949 graduate of Washington High School. She went on to work in the home health care business. She was a longtime arts and crafts teacher at the Massillon Boys Club. Along with her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her sister, Eva Albrecht and her brothers, Walter and Don Dickey. She is survived by her children, Vicki (Craig) Seimetz of Massillon, Tom Patterson of Massillon, Valerie Mayle of Perry Township and Patrick Patterson of Massillon, her grandchildren, Joshua (Kara) Mayle, Kristen Mayle, and Tim (Molly) Seimetz and Dan (Jennifer) Seimetz, her great grandchildren, Abbie, Ryan and Reid Seimetz and her sister Linda (Skip) Bernhart of New Philadelphia, OH Her wishes were to be cremated. There are no calling hours and a private graveside service was held for the family.
