Dorothy E. Christoff

Dorothy E. Christoff, age 87 of Massillon passed away February 7, 2015. She was born January 8, 1928 in Baltimore, MD to the late George & Donica Petroff. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Detroit. In 1949 she and her husband, Attorney Carl Christoff, moved to Massillon. For 22 years she was a loving wife and supported her husband in his law practice. After his passing she raised three successful sons. Later in life Dorothy enjoyed traveling the world. She was a guide at Stan Hywet Hall. She was a member of the Massillon Women's Club and Canton Women's Club. Dorothy is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Attorney William Z. (Joan) Christoff of Massillon, Bruce E. (Karen) Christoff of Massillon and Attorney Carl C. (late wife Gina) Christoff of Dallas, Texas; two grandchildren, Caroline Christoff a Graduate Student at the University of Texas in Austin and David Christoff a Graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology who resides in Dallas, Texas; brother, George (Geri) Petroff of Gross Point Woods, Michigan; sister-in-law, Sophie Cok of Denver, Colorado. She was very close to her sister-in-law and her husband Eva & Bill Bitzel of Massillon, Ohio. Private Services for the family will be Friday at the Paquelet Funeral Home.
