Dorothy Heflin of Centerville, Ohio, formerly of Massillon, Ohio, graduated to heaven to live eternally with her Living SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST June 4, 2013 after enduring a brief illness and hospitalization. She was born in Canton, Ohio on July 10, 1923 and was the daughter of the late Milan and Dorothy (Ratkovich) Bekich. Along with her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by James her husband to whom she met while they both worked at Kennywood Park, PA. They were wed on December 2, 1949, her siblings Ruby Bekich, Milan Bekich, Mildred (Millie) Komazec and her brother-in-law Mark Komezec. Dorothy was loving mother to her daughter Wilma Heflin (Paul Krasnesky) Centerville, Ohio and James (Jim) Heflin of Ocala, Fl. Her siblings include Anna Gryak, Mary (Joe) Madar of West Mifflin, Pa. George (Toni) Bekich of Canton, Ohio and Elsie Hendricks of Ocala, Florida Dorothy worked in retail in the Massillon and Canton area at Yeager's Department Store, Massillon Super Center, K Mart Foods and Clarkins Department Store before assisting in home health care in Stark County. Dorothy and James also managed the "Store It Here". Dorothy was a generous person that gave to those in need when possible. She loved to cook and bake. Family members and friends enjoyed her Nut Rolls and Cabbage Rolls to mention a few. The family will receive guests from 6-8pm on Friday at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Road NE in Massillon and a service to celebrate her life will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 am Saturday, June 8th. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Memorial Gardens on Frank Road in Canton.
