Doris Marie Adams age 73 of Massillon passed away October 5, 2010 at her residence. Doris was born May 23, 1937 in Hayesville, NC to the late Norvell & Girlie (Ledford) McClure and moved to Ohio 42 years ago. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a twin brother, Morris Lee McClure and a sister Geraldine Huscusson. Her family will remember her as a ‘loving mother and grandmother’. Anyone who visited her home was gifted with her wonderful southern cooking and hospitality. Doris spent her time taking care of her vegetable and flower garden. Doris is survived by four children and their spouses: Michael & Debbie (Altland) Parker, Jeff & Diane (Smith) Parker, Curt & Debby (Null) Adams and Shelly & Steven Wade all of Massillon; grandchildren: Adam Parker, Desiree Glenn, Terra Turner, Julianne & Shawn Crable, Robert & Rachel Adams, Cody & Laurie Parker, Kyan Parker, Spencer Wade, Jarrid Wade & Nicole Albert; and eleven great grandchildren. She leaves two sisters and a brother: Pauline Huffman, Patricia & Jack Bradshaw and James McClure. A Memorial Service will be 7 PM Friday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon, Chaplain Kathleen Schen will officiate. Friends may call from 5 PM until the service on Friday. Her favorite charities are the American Heart Association or St. Jude’ Children Research Hospital. Messages of support and sympathy can be sent to the family at www.paquelet.com.
