Doris L. Winkhart

Doris L. Winkhart, age 73 of Navarre, passed away Tuesday morning at her residence with her family by her side. She was a lifelong resident of Navarre and was born in Massillon on November 7, 1933 to the late Karl and Mary Wilson. Doris graduated from Washington High School in 1951. She married her late husband Duane G. Winkhart on November 28, 1953 and they shared 48 years of marriage. She worked at the V.F.W. Post #5047 in Navarre as the bookkeeper and as the general office manager. Doris was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the V.F.W. She is survived by her daughter; Marcia A. Kelly of Summerville, SC, sons; Martin A. (Lisa) Winkhart and Mitchell A. Winkhart both of Navarre, grandchildren; Aaron Winkhart of Canton, Ashley Winkhart of Columbus, OH, Shawn Kelly of Clemson, SC, Megan Kelly of Summerville, SC, and Lauren Winkhart of N. Canton, brother; Jim (Mary Helen) Wilson of Canton, sisters; Anna Bachtel of Massillon, Mona (Dale) Good and Lynn (Bob) Smith both of AZ, sister-in-law; Suzie Swinehart of N. Canton Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2007 at 11:00 at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Navarre. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home TODAY from 6-8 P.M. and one hour prior to the service on Friday. The Ladies V.F.W. Auxiliary will have a memorial service at 5:45 P.M. TODAY at the funeral home. Rev. Bill Andrick of St. James at Crossroads in Navarre will be Officiating. Burial will follow at East Union Lawn Cemetery.
