Doris L. Gibson

Doris L. Gibson, 82 of Jackson Township, passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 4, 2015. Doris was born on July 5, 1933 in Iaeger, WV the daughter of the late Harry and Hattie (Perkins) Tracy. Throughout her life she enjoyed volunteering both at her church and at her childrens' schools. Doris was an avid reader. She loved cross word puzzles, sewing, cooking and spending time with her family. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde C. Gibson in 2008; her sister, Alice Riffe; and her brothers, Harold and Milton Tracy. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Morgan (Kathy) Gibson of WV, Robert (Anita) Gibson of NC, Lada (Jim) Gibson-Shreve of Jackson Twp., and Dorla Gibson of Akron; her grandchildren, Chris (Shannon) Gibson of TN, Scott (Sara) Gibson of TX, Morgan (Rebecca) Gibson, Jr. of WV, Brooke Enriquez of TX, Zakary and Benjamin Shreve both of Jackson Twp., Bud, Jasmine and Nathan Andrews all of Akron; 7 great grandchildren; and her brother, Darrell Tracy of DE. A Celebration of Doris's Life will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Paquelet Funeral Home: 1100 Wales Rd. NE, Massillon, OH. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
