Doris J. Conley

Doris J. Conley, age 70 of Massillon, passed away on February 8, 2009. She was born on February 28, 1938 in Dundee, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Theodore and Mildred (Silvius) Hendricks. Doris was a Massillon resident for most of her life. She was best known for and will always be remembered for her candy. She loved making her famous “Grandma C’s” candy. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charles R. Conley, two children, Rick (Sheila) Conley and Diane Smith both of Massillon, four brothers and sisters, Pat (Glen) Stein and Norm (Ann) Hendricks of Srasburg, Lu Stein of Baltic and Ira (Lynn) Hendricks of Dennison, three grandchildren, Duffy Smith, Seth Edmunds and Savannah Edmunds all of Massillon and two great grandchildren, Kain and Madison. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Thayer officiating. Burial will follow at Stanwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
