Donnie Mae Williams

Donnie Mae Williams, age 88 of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Massillon, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 19, 2010. She was born on January 1, 1922 in Weirton, WV and was the daughter of the late Alec and Lula (Southerland) Walker. She retired from the former Massillon State Hospital where she had been a licensed practical nurse and a psychiatric nurse. She was a member of the Greater Bethel Apostolic Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Williams, Jr. in 1972 and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte (Eddie) Collier of Orange, NJ, her son Ronald (Ruth) Williams of Solon, OH and her daughter, Cynthia McCoy of Columbus, OH, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren her brothers, William (Velmanetta) Walker and Theodore (Rosie) Walker and her sisters, Vivien (Watus) Gory and Ezzie Williams and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A service to celebrate her life will take place on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon with Elder Darrell Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 P.M. and on Tuesday one hour prior to the service.
