Donnie "Danny" R. Newsome

Donnie "Danny" R. Newsome, 70, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016 following a brief illness. He was born in Albright, WV on November 23, 1945 to the late General Earley and Evelena (Everidge) Newsome. Danny owned and operated DMS Auto Sales in Strasburg retiring in 2006. He enjoyed working on and being around cars. Known for his sense of humor he was always fun to have around. Danny never met a stranger and always tried to be helpful to others. He is survived by his wife, Sally (Martin) Newsome, whom he married on July 8, 1978; their children, Donnie R. (Andrea) Newsome, Jr of Massillon, Carol (Jason) Alcorn, Canal Fulton, Angie Bates of Big Bear, CA , Christine (Frank) Trust of Bath, Amy Newsome of Carrolton, Buffy Newsome and Kelly Newsome of Canton and Paul Newsome of Massillon; fourteen grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; three Brothers, Frank, Joe and Doug Newsome; and three sisters, Mae Miller, Sue Foor and Shirley Warner. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacey Newsome; granddaughter Ashley Poloschan; sister, Ruth Beadnell and an infant brother. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 3:00pm-5:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 10:30am in the funeral home.
