Donnell David Reeves

Donnell David Reeves (New York) went home to be with the Lord on 4/14/2022. Donnell passed away surrounded by his loving family, friends, and clergy. Donnell Reeves was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Kelmom Reeves and Lulu Mae Reeves, paternal grandparents Leonard Lukes Sr. and Gladys Lukes, his wife Rhonda Reeves, his son Donte Reeves, His mother Rosa Reeves, father Leonard Lukes, sister Fonicia Stewart, and niece Sammantha Reeves. Donnell David Reeves was born on October 8, 1968, in Brooklyn New York to the late Rosa Reeves and Leonard Lukes. Donnell was Baptized after finding the Lord at Apostolic faith Assembly in Canton, Ohio. Donnell was a member of Breath of Life Tabernacle and held a past membership at Apostolic Faith Assembly. At Apostolic Faith Assembly he was the Senior Usher Board Vice President, Junior Usher Board President, and Head of Building Maintenace. Donnell enjoyed helping others and was a servant of the Lord. He was often seen assisting with church renovations, food ministry, taking pictures, participating in youth activities and utilizing his skills in the music ministry. In his later years, Donnell was active with foster care youth. He was often seen in one of his active roles assisting with his youngest son's school, sports or other activities. Donnell also was a board member of the Alliance Family Health Canter in Alliance, Ohio. He was very concerned about health care disparities between different cultures and socioeconomic groups. Donnell enjoyed spending time and traveling with his fiancé. He also loved gathering with children, grandchildren, family, and friends. He especially enjoyed making his fried fish, fried chicken and dirty rice dishes. Donnell was always the life of any gathering and was an overall loving and humble individual. Donnell leaves to cherish his memories his fiancé of the home, Dionna Stokes, his children Donnell Reeves Jr., Ranada Reeves, Rashonda Reeves, and Chauncey Reeves of the home, his siblings Cassandra Reeves of Charolotte North Carolina, Sheila Reeves, Melvin Reeves, and Lyla Reeves all of Bronx New York, Harla Lukes of Massillon, Ohio, Tara Stewart, Joline Lukes, Jolie Lukes, Lennell Lukes, Leonard Lukes III and Stepmother Martha Lukes all of Atlanta, Georgia. Donnell also leaves 13 wonderful grandchildren to cherish his memories! Donnell also leaves to cherish is memories Justin Stokes, Jada Stokes, Shyanna Stokes, Jaqueline Mazariegos, Jasmine Mazariegos, Shelby Stokes, Graysen Gerber Stokes, Joshua Wengerd and Michael Schnetz, and Morris Family all which he had a special relationship with. Donnell spoke about his special childhood friends that have he held close to heart since 1983 which included the Fite, Kirkland, McGuire, and Gillom Families. The Family of Donnell David Reeves would like to give the sincerest appreciation to the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus for all compassion and dedication that was expressed to Donnell during this critical time. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Camille Frazier Mills for advocating on behalf of Donnell David Reeves and his family! Donnell Reeves services will be held at Paquelet Funeral Home on April 23, 2022 at 12:00 PM. The family will receive guests one hour prior. He will have a private burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send offerings to Paquelet Funeral Home. Offerings will then be forwarded to Donnell's chosen charities. Donnell we will always love and miss you.
