Donna Jean Scheetz

Donna Jean Scheetz, 88, of Massillon, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2018. She was born on November 11, 1929 to the late Edward and Bertha (Thomas) Miller. Donna married Ralph Scheetz on October 14, 1950. They shared 47 loving years together before he passed in 1998. Donna was a member of St. Barbara’s Catholic Church and worked at St. Barbara’s School as a secretary for over 30 years. In her spare time, she was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Donna had a close group of special friends who she spent a lot of time with whether they were playing cards, traveling, or golfing. Her greatest passion in life was being a mother and especially a grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her children Tom (Debbie) Scheetz, Jean (Steve) Shrider and Mike (Sue) Scheetz; grandchildren Nathan, Christopher (Samantha), Stephanie (Matt), Emily (Carl), and Molly (Andy); great-grandchildren Emma, Bruce, Benjamin and William. In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was preceded in death by her brother Orwin Miller. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with calling hours one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery.
