Donato Basso

Donato Basso, age 68 of Jackson Township, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on February 16, 1945 in Biccari, Fg. Italy and was the son of the late Guiseppe and Crestina (Petrucelli) Basso. He retired from Crown, Cork and Seal where he was a bailer. Donato was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Magdalena Di Lorenzo and his brothers, Antonio and Vincenzo Basso. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Maria (Iannelli) Basso, whom he married in April of 1968, his children and their spouses, Christina and Brian Hartong, Dan and Julie Basso, Frank and Tracy Basso and Angela and Mike Fernandez. Also surviving are his 8 grandchildren, Samantha, Brittany, Brianna, Emma, Bergan, Cara, Ava and Ella, his great granddaughter, Averie and his brothers, Giovanni (Maria) Basso, Michele (Giovina) Basso and Costantino (Lorraine) Basso. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Raymond Paul officiating. Cremation will follow the Mass.
