Donald W. Wilton, 77, went home to be with the Lord on June 7, 2021, surrounded by his loving wife and family following a two year illness. Don was born in Canton, Ohio to the late Donald and Mary (Horning) Wilton on March 11, 1944. He graduated in 1962 from Navarre High School and lived his early years in Navarre until moving to Massillon where he lived most of his life. Don was a machinist/foreman at the Timken Company until opening his own business (Lock 4 Marine) to repair outboard motors in 1974. He retired in the fall of 2020. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Sons of Herman, Eagles #190, and the Massillon Tiger Football Booster Club where he held many offices including President in 1990. Don was also a 39 year member of the Tigertown Boat and Ski Club. Don loved his 2 little dogs LuLu and Cooper. He loved going fast in his outboard Baja boat with a 300 HP Mercury motor, watching his beloved Tigers play and spending time with family. The family would like to thank Hospice of Aultman Hospital for their excellent care, especially Nurse Gretchen and Aide Sean. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Lou (Mayloth, Danner); daughter Denise (Don) Murphy and step-sons Michael (Dawn) Danner and Donald Danner; grandchildren Kevin and Kendall Murphy, Megan (Corey) Weiland, and Tyler and Madison Danner; great-grandchildren Conner, Cara and Max Weiland; sisters Judy Weaver and Sandy (Greg) Lewton; nieces Kris (Tony) Morales, Pamela Simon, Melanie Lewis, Farrah (Darrin) David; and nephew Nick (Jill) Lewton. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Joseph Weaver, in-laws Andrew and Mary (Houck) Mayloth and his best friend and grandson Michael Jay Danner. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 13th from 5-7 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon. A private inurnment will take place at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date.
