Donald R. Hostetler, age 92, passed away on November 08, 2013. He was born in Beach City OH on November 27, 1920 to the late Elmer and Blanche (Baughman) Hostetler. He married Marilyn E. Walter on January 17, 1948 and they shared 63 years together until her passing in 2011. Don served his country during World War II as a Gunners Mate in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a General Foreman for Republic Steel for 42 years until his retirement. Don and Marilyn enjoyed traveling the country in their Airstream Trailer. He was also a craftsman spending his spare time woodcarving ducks & birds, creating needlepoint pictures and building furniture to name a few. He will be remembered as a hardworking, loving gentleman with a great sense of humor. He is survived by his children; Gary Hostetler of Kilgore TX, William (Ann) Hostetler of Massillon, Donnie Hostetler of Covington LA and Holly (Michael) Beitzel of Mandeville, LA; his grandchildren Max (Meaghan) Hostetler, Justin (Sarah) Beitzel; and Jessica Beitzel; his great-grandchildren Miles and Nolan; his brothers Robert (Nancy) Hostetler and Harold Hostetler; and his sister Mildred Widlicka. A Funeral Service will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 12 Noon. The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. until the time of the service.
