Donald L. Scott, 92 of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016. He was born in Massillon on June 30, 1924 and was the son of the late Donald and Margaret (Stuhldreher) Scott. Don was a veteran of World War II, serving with the 101st Airborne Division in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Army/Navy, Garrison 207. He retired from Fame Beverage where he was a driver. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was an avid Massillon Tiger supporter and season ticket holder for 70 years. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lillian in 1987, his brothers Robert Scott, David Scott and infant Tom Scott and his sisters Wanda Cunningham and Shirley Shoemaker. He is survived by his children, Jody (Joseph, Sr.) Berens, Kelly (Kathy Ellis) Scott, Donald D. (Linda) Scott and Terry Scott, his grandchildren, Kimberly (Alvin) Wells, Adam (Kory) Scott, Jenny (Chris) Pollard and Joseph Berens, Jr., 6 great grandchildren and his companion Patricia Wise. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Raymond Paul at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Friday from 9-10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers please donate to a homeless shelter or food pantry.
