Donald Ivan, Jr.

Donald Ivan, Jr., 86, of Massillon, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Donald was born on August 8, 1936 in Massillon, Ohio the son of the late Donald and Helen (Kobielarski) Ivan, Sr. Donald was a 1954 graduate of Washington High School. He married Patricia Wojcinski in May of 1957 and they shared 47 years of marriage before her passing. He worked for the Timken Co. and retired from Republic Steel in 1997. Donald was an avid golfer and bowler. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially during the Holidays. Donald had a special bond with his grandson Nathan. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Wojcinski) and his brother, Richard Ivan.

He is survived by daughters, Annette (Ken) Meidlinger, and Michelle (Bill Swinford) Ivan; grandson, Nathan (Christine) Ivan; brothers, Robert (Dee) Ivan, and Ken (Barb) Ivan; sisters, Elaine (Charles) McGraw, and Rosemarie Earl; step-grandchildren, Keri (Jason) Wise, Krista (Mike) Anthony, Christopher (Andrea) Swinford, and Sean (Natasha) Swinford; and numerous nieces, nephews, and step-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5-8 p.m. and on Monday from 9-10 a.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 13th, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
