Donald H. Kandle, age 75 of Massillon, died Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on July 22, 1932 in Massillon and was the son of the late Herman L. & Minnie O. (Weckesser) Kandle. Don was a lifelong area resident. He retired from Superior Brand Meats where he was a meat cutter. He was a member of Clinton Lodge # 47 F. & A.M., the Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton, the Al Koran Shrine Club where he was past president, the Massillon Oaks Club where he was past president, the Fraternal Order of Eagles 190 and was the former treasurer of the Westside Athletic Club. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Martha Kandle. He is survived by his daughters Gail Lynn Vogt of Massillon and Nancy J. (William) Lewis of Pinellas Park, FL, his sons, Daniel Scott Kandle of Massillon & David Don (Sandra M.) Kandle of Navarre, 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, his brothers, Larry (Geri) Kandle of Massillon, Dale (Dolores) Kandle of Massillon, William J. (Judy) Kandle of Strasburg and Robert (Myrna) Kandle of Massillon, his sister Joanne Pfaus of Canton and his companion of 30 years, Shirla J. Spangler. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. Orion Aulbihl officiating. Burial will follow in Brookfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. and on Saturday one hour before the service. The Clinton Lodge will hold a Masonic service Friday at 5:30 P.M. and the Fraternal Order of Eagles will hold a service Saturday at 11:30 A.M. Memorials may be made in the name of Donald H.
