Donald Ernest Wissmar

Donald Ernest Wissmar, 85, passed away on November 2, 2021 following an extended illness. He was born in Canton on December 20, 1935, to Ernest W. and Bernadette A. (Kline) Wissmar. Growing up Donald excelled in football, boxing and golf. Later in life he was a football and basketball official. He was an avid outdoorsman, wood worker and gardener. He is survived by his wife, Joanne M. (Fritsch) Wissmar, with whom he celebrated 64 years of Marriage on August 3, 2021; their children, Donald P. ( Donna) Wissmar, Michael A. Wissmar, Daniel J. (Judy) Wissmar and Sean D. (Stacey) Wissmar; grandchildren, Jessica (Brent), Donald Jr, Amber (Sean), Roth, Maia, Heather and Brent(Jamie); four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, infant grandson, Daniel and infant great-granddaughter, Ellie. A Private Service will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home and inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
