Donald E. Piper, age 86 passed away on January 17, 2016. He was born to the late William and Nora Piper. He was a graduate of Washington High School. He married Rosanna Rohr in 1953 and they shared 45 years until her passing in 1998. Donald proudly served his country as an Army medic during the Korean War. He was a dedicated employee for Central States Can for 44 years until his retirement in 1992. He also worked at Paul Brown Stadium as a ticket taker. Donald was great at pitching horseshoes at Agathon Field in his younger years, and was an avid bowler on the Eagles and Elk leagues. He enjoyed many years of camping at Harrison Hills with Rose. Donald was a member of the Knights of Columbus #554. He is survived by his children Dale Piper, Connie (Chris) Ciccarone, Roger (Anita) Piper; his grandchildren Christine, Anthony, Angie, Victoria and Andrew; and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his 4 sisters and 7 brothers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on February 4, 2016 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon. Father Raymond Paul officiating. Visitation one hour prior to services.
