Donald E. Cornell

Donald E. Cornell, age 86 of Massillon, passed away at home on Saturday October 29, 2016. He was born in Massillon December 27, 1929 to the late Ralph L. and Mabel (Keyser) Cornell. Don was a 1947 graduate of Washington High School where he was a member of the Tiger Swing Band. Don was an Eagle Scout. He attended the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. Don was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran. Don owned and worked with his father Ralph at the Cornell Real Estate & Insurance Agency for more than 60 years. He was an avid tennis player, jazz pianist and collector of jazz music. He is preceded in death by his son, Donald E. Cornell Jr., son-in-law Virgil Conley. He is survived by his long-time companion Faith Meiser, his children Scott Cornell, Laurie (Jay) Bomze, Allison Conley; grandchildren Maggie and Andrew Bomze, James Cornell and three great grandchildren; sister Lois I. McAllister and former wife Freddie Cornell. In accordance with Don's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no public services. Condolences may be shared online at www.paquelet.com
