Donald 'Don' A. Masters

Donald “Don” A. Masters, age 71 of Massillon, passed away Monday at Affinity Medical Center – Massillon Campus. He was born on November 15, 1935 to the late Albert and Edna Henry – Masters Seidler. He retired as a business agent from Roofers Union Local #88 in 1999, where he had been a member since 1968. He served as a Business Manager Financial Secretary from 1983 – 1999. Following his retirement he served as the president of the Union from 1999 – 2005 and currently served as vice president. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Wayne and Ed Master and sister Florence Himes. He is survived by his wife, Linda A. (Schram) Masters with whom he celebrated 35 years of marriage on April 1, 2007; sons Jeffrey Masters and Dennis Baker both of Massillon; daughters, Denise (Jerry) Beall of Wooster, Amy (Doug) Baird of Bradenton, FL; mother, Rachael Masters; sister, Suzie (Bob) Althouse of Canton; Brothers, Bill (Marie) Masters of South Carolina, Chuck (Ruth) Masters of Canton; grandchildren, Kari and Jill Masters, Keith, Heather, Brian and Matthew Baker, Jason Jacobs, Justin and Josh Beall, Jacob and Kelsey Baird; great grandchildren, Marcus Jacobs, Gauge and Tyler Symanski and Aubrey Beall. Services celebrating Don’s life will be held Friday at 1:30 PM at the Arnold – Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. Edd Matako officiating. Calling hours will be Thursday 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
