Dolores A. 'Pooch' Beiner

Dolores A. “Pooch” Beiner, 88, of Canton, died on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Windsor Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. . She was born on March 5, 1922 in Canton and was the daughter of the late Victor F. “Pick” and Mary E. “Bun” Miller. Dolores had worked at the Stark County Recorder’s Office and Stark Dry Goods. She was a member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 221 and A.A.R.P. Dolores was actively involved in the lives of her children and her grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Beiner in 1992 and her sister Jane Carlson in 2007. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Karen &Neal Hodgkiss and Cinde and Bruce Martin, her grandchildren, Kendra (Gary) Zeigler, Krista Hodgkiss, Ty and Cory Martin. Also surviving are her niece Sue Grimaldi and her nephew Larry Carlson. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home with Rector Henry Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Catherine Fleisher, Dr. Nashat Gabrail and Tom Swallen and his staff at Windsor Medical Center for the comfort, care, affection and compassion they showed Dolores.
