Dolores A. Cooper

Dolores "Dee" Ann Cooper, 83, of Massillon, went home to be with the Lord on August 25th, 2017. She was born to the late John and Anna Bednar, on December 15, 1933, in Massillon. She attended Washington High School, from which she graduated in 1953. From there she went on to The Ohio University, before moving to Southern California in 1955 with her cousin and friend Crystal Orr. It was there that she met her beloved husband of 60 years, Paul Cooper. The family moved back to Ohio in 2001, to be closer to Dee's late sister, and brother-in-law, Alice "Jeanie" Fike, and Wayne Fike. Dee was a devoted member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She found great joy in her role as wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Paul Cooper, Son, Douglas Cooper (Antoinette) of Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter, Debra Abrigg (Timothy) , of Green, Ohio, and three granddaughters, Alyssa Brady, Samantha and Sierra Cooper. Dee will be missed greatly by all who knew her. Calling hours in her honor will be Wednesday, August 30th, (6-8pm) at Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon, and funeral service will be Thursday, August 31st at 1:00 pm at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in North Canton with additional calling hours from 12-1 pm at the church.. In lieu of flowers, Dee asked for donations to be made to St. Stephen Ministry, or Haiti school mission fund at Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
