Doc A. Shaffer, age 66 of Canton, passed away on November 25, 2020. He was born on April 28, 1954 to the late Harold and JoAnn Shaffer. He was a 1972 graduate of Glenoak High School. Doc owned Doc’s Portable Signs, Stark County Escort, and worked at the U.S. Postal Service for many years until his retirement. Doc had an amazing work ethic and at times worked 3 jobs. Doc was a social butterfly and enjoyed watching his favorite Cleveland Teams and the New England Patriots. His dream was to always get an RV and move to Fort Myers, Florida and lay out on the beach. Doc had a giving heart and did a lot of things for underprivileged families and children at Christmas time . Doc was a man who lived life to the fullest, on his own terms and had no regrets. He is survived by his daughters Stephanie (Jacob) Sutton and Bryttanie Zimmerman; his grandchildren Rylee Sutton and Emma Zimmerman; his brother Ronald Shaffer; his sister Carol Pacey and a host of family and friends. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken and there will no services.
