Dianne K. Heather

Dianne K. Heather, age 70, of Massillon, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013. She was born on April 20, 1943 in Massillon the daughter of the late Richard and Marjorie (Ream) Mead. Dianne was a 1961 graduate of W.H.S. She moved to Sterling, IL in 1962 to be with her parents, where she graduated from Sauk Valley College in 1973 and received her Associate Degree in Nursing, to begin her health care career as a nurse, administrator, quality assurance coordinator and teacher. She retired from nursing in 1998 because of health issues. Dianne was a member of St. Barbara's Catholic Church where she was involved in the Eucharistic Ministries. She will be remembered as a loving, caring and compassionate woman. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Valerie Heather. She is survived by her loving husband Gerald Heather whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage on Feb. 26, 1963; her sons and their spouses, Scott & Stephanie Heather and Tim & Sue Heather; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and her brother Richard Mead of Lakeland, FL. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Barbara Catholic Church. Fr. Brian Cline will be Officiating.
