Diane Marie Leisy

Diane Marie (Zandt) Leisy, 66, of Massillon, passed away following an extended illness on April 27, 2024 at Aultman Hospital.

She was born on January 30, 1958 in Canton, OH.

She was a graduate of Perry High School and worked for the former Massillon City Hospital and the Massillon City Schools. Diane enjoyed spending time with family and friends, attending concerts in the park, and playing Bingo at St. Mary's. She also enjoyed camping, the Massillon Tigers, and she was an avid animal lover.

Diane is survived by her loving children Matthew Leisy and Melissa Zandt; sisters Beth (Ken) Sukosd and Lori (Mark) Petit; nieces and nephews Julie, Kenny, Danielle, Michael, Trenton, and Kristin; great-niece and nephews Lucas, Chandler, Cammeron, and Jordan; and dear cousins.

She was preceded in death by her former husband Steven Ray Leisy; father Glenn Zandt; mother Marilyn (Jones) Craig; step-father Harry Craig; grandparents Charles and Florence Zandt and Leroy and Florence Jones; and Bella her rescue and adored companion.

A Celebration of Diane's Life will be held by the family at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made in Diane's memory to the Stark County Humane Society.
